Student Guidelines
Please come to the studio a little early to give you the
transition time to enter into a focused and rewarding practice.
Teachers come 25 minutes before class to give you time to gather
your props and settle in.
Please share with your teacher any injuries or
limitations before class so that we can offer you the best
practice for your current needs.
Try not to eat a large meal before class. This
will allow the energy of the practice to support your other
systems of health and not be involved with digestion. The lighter
feel will open the body and support a deeper connection to your
core work.
Bring water to complete the release of toxins
that will move out of the body after practice.
Further Guidelines to Enhance your Yoga Experience
- Practice Regularly
- Take as many classes as your schedule allows, preferably
three times a week so the practice becomes part of your
life.
- Self-Practice
- If you are unable to attend class, try practicing at home
with a video or audio tape, or practice a sequence of poses from
your memory.
- Regular Meditation
- Develop a regular meditation practice which will aid in
grounding you in the fundamentals of Yoga. Mala beads are
available at the studio. Please inquire!
