Bio:
No matter what level class Katie is teaching, it is therapeutic at all levels. While specializing in modifications and therapeutic interventions, she is always looking to balance the flow of yoga to open the subtle body, the alignments that create homeostasis in the physical body and the heightened awareness that soothes and grows the mind body. With Classical intentions and therapeutic modalities, Katie always warms her students up before finishing with restorative openings. Katie was first certified to teach Sivananda Yoga in 1983 and has studied yogic meditation and philosophy for over 25 years. The yoga styles she has studied over the years include Iyengar, Kripalu, Kundalini, Bikram’s, Tibetan, Kriya, Siddha and, more recently, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Anusara and Therapeutic yoga. Katie's greatest strength is her knowledge of the human anatomy.
