Asha is passionate about yoga and has been interested in the mind/body connection since high school. In the last five years, yoga and meditation are two components that have helped her experience more joy, peace and happiness in her life which she loves sharing with her students.

Her classes are infused with breath and awareness and are always grounded in her passion for the yogic philosophy. Yoga is a great complement to the work she does as an advocate for victims of crime. Asha is excited to join the growing community of Simply Yoga and is honored to have this opportunity.

Danielle is a warm and generous spirit who is looking to share her love of Yoga with others. Danielle has what most of her students are looking to create - a solid personal yoga practice. This self discipline enables Danielle to support and embrace her students while they too encounter the rich rewards of applying themselves in Yoga.

Danielle's Yoga Alliance teacher training program included exposure to Ashtanga, Kripalu, Iyengar, Baptiste, and Forrest Yoga. From that exposure, Danielle has developed a confident teaching style that flows from her own strengths.

Dawn studied yoga at The Yoga Institute of Mumbai, India - the first organized school of Yoga. While living in India with her teacher, Dr. Jayadeva Yogendra, she worked with Dr. Shetti, MD, learning the health benefits of Yoga for various diseases. In addition, she worked on The Caring Heart project which had the goal of avoiding bypass surgery for heart patients. She studied the psychosomatic aspect of disease and wellness and learned from the ancient writings of The Bhagavad Gita and The Yoga Sutras.

Dawn is deeply rooted in the teachings of yoga, teaches from a place of deep calm, humility, and heart. Students in her presence soon find their own place of peace and balance within and find their practice infused with Bhavana, feeling and love.

Jillian began her yoga journey 11 years ago while recovering from a low back injury. She has been practicing ever since and has developed a passion for spiritual growth and the healing arts. Her practice focuses on breath work and emotional and physical release.

Jillian holds a strong and fun presence enabling her students’ awareness and enjoyment of their yoga practice and spiritual journey. In addition, she is a certified Reiki II practitioner, home health aide, and writer.

Jillian received her B.A. from Prescott College with a dual degree in Creative Writing and Gender & Sexuality Studies.

Jessica knew that the practice of yoga would become an important part of her life upon taking her first yoga class over 12 years ago. Initially seeking to enhance her exercise program, she soon found the benefits of a regular practice leaving her feeling lighter, from the inside out!

Jessica has studied a variety of styles that are reflected in her classes - including Ashtanga, Forrest and Kundalini. Her gentle style places emphasis on experiencing a deeper connection to breath and increasing body awareness while honoring areas of injury.

Jessica - who has a B.A. in Psychology from West Chester University - considers herself a life-long student and has taken workshops with Ana Forrest and Rodney Yee, in addition to the Spirit of Yoga 200 hour teacher training. Jessica encourages her students to access the deep wisdom of their own teacher within.

Katie was first certified to teach Sivananda Yoga in 1983 and has studied yogic meditation and philosophy for over 25 years.The yoga styles she has studied over the years include Iyengar, Kripalu, Kundalini, Bikram’s, Tibetan, Kriya, Siddha and, more recently, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Anusara and Therapeutic yoga.

Her style is eclectic and incorporative. She has received initiations in the mystical traditions of Tibetan Yoga, Kriya Yoga and Sufism. Katie's strengths are her extensive knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of our yogic body.

Kristin is committed to assisting students in their yoga journey through observation, listening, and sharing her knowledge, training, and experience as a yoga teacher, athlete, mother, and student, as well as her experience with her own injuries.

Kristin hopes to provide her students with an environment that is free of judgment, a place where they can experience the power and ability that lies within them, and the ability to develop their own practice through breath work, bodywork, and meditation.

The gifts that she brings to the world of yoga are her yoga teacher training with experience in multiple styles of yoga, 5+ years teaching experience with over 800 classes (ranging from beginner to advanced), experience with injuries (ranging from a stubbed toe to a herniated disc), and a struggle with balance in life (work, family, self) and, last but not least, the ability to maintain and present a level of calm in stressful or chaotic situations.

Yoga is an important part of Linda's life journey. She is committed to assisting students on their yoga path through awareness.
Her experiences as a yoga teacher, athlete, mother and student provide her with a deeper understanding of human needs which greatly contributes to her own practice. Personal experience along with observation and demonstration allow her to better assist students in developing their individual awareness and determining their most appropriate physical practice.

Linda's intention is to provide a judgment free, safe environment. This environment enables students to grow and discover personal awareness and development through yoga by applying breath work, body work and meditation.

Mimi has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She feels that yoga has strengthened her not only physically, but mentally and spiritually as well. The lessons imparted in yoga class and in yoga traditions teach us ways to handle life stresses. The practice itself also strengthens our physical body.

Mimi decided to teach to bring this wonderful experience to others as well as to enhance her own practice. There added bonus was taking the teacher training with her daughter, Sarah (who also teaches for Simply Yoga).

Mimi hopes to assist those in her class to gain the benefits of this centuries old practice - a sense of confidence as they realize their potential and recognition & embracing the freedom that each individual's journey in yoga is different.

Ajay has been a student of yoga and meditation since 1997 and started teaching in 2005. He discovered his passion for yoga when he took his first class in Los Angeles at Bikram’s Yoga College of India.

In 2001, he moved back to the east coast to practice and study Power Yoga at power yoga works in Malvern. The yoga path continued as he was led to study and receive his teacher’s certification in 2005 with Yogi Amrit Desai in Salt Springs, FL. In 2008, Ajay completed a Sampoorna Yoga teacher’s training with Yogi Hari in Miramar, FL.

Ajay teaches a lively, heart centered class that builds on core strength, flexibility, and inner awareness with ease. Ajay also teaches at Hari Om Temple located at 348 East Boot Road (Downingtown) on Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM.

Cara was introduced to yoga ten years ago, and it led to an ongoing transformation and a daily process of awakening that has had a profound effect on her life course.
Cara earned her 200 hour training at Yoga Life. She is gradually working, as life allows, toward a 500 hour certification through the Spirit of Yoga. Cara is grateful to her students who are a source of inspiration and her greatest of teachers.

Cara has a BA in Cultural Anthropology from Colorado State and is a graduate of the Massage school of Exton as well as a Certified Pilates instructor.

Cara has been working at Main Line Rehab Associates for twenty years where she coordinates rehab service plans for traumatic brain Injured Individuals. Cara is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and a Cognitive Remediation Therapist.

As a three year cancer survivor, Cara is grateful to have Yoga as a tool to help her emotionally, physically, and spiritually throughout the process of recovery. It has kept her grounded and reminds her that the challenges we face are both the lessons and blessings of life.

Isabelle has trained over the course of 12 months at the Spirit of Yoga for her 200 hour RYT. She continues to train in the various yoga traditions and has also received full certification for Pilates Mat Instruction. She enjoys teaching to all generations and loves to help students to create their own mind/body/spirit connection through yoga and meditation.

Sarah has been practicing yoga for about 5 years now. Yoga has brought such joy into her life; it has changed her life mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Practicing yoga has allowed her to find her own happiness and peace within her self which not only strengthens her but also her relationships with others.

She wants to touch her students' lives the same way yoga has touched her life. Sarah’s goal is not only to have her students gain all the sweet benefits from a class, but also to bring yoga off the mat into their daily lives. She wants her yoga classes to be fun, so her students smile during class, enjoy the hour or so spent together, and leave feeling alive and rejuvenated. She aims to help her students find their own peace within themselves and happiness in their lives through yoga.

After practicing yoga for 10 years, Linda was called to to attend Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health to become a certified yoga teacher. In November 2006, she graduated with a "toolbox" of information to help others heal on multidimensional levels with compassion at the heart of each practice.

Linda is currently enrolled in her second 200 hour certification studying with Master Teachers Sada Sat Singh and Sada Sat Kaur to learn the ancient Art and Science of Kundalini Yoga as instructed by Yogi Bhajan. Her spiritual name, Liv Avtar, means "one pointed devotion to live her infinite nature". With this one pointed devotion, she hopes to impart this ancient wisdom of awareness to serve, strengthen, heal and uplift all who need assistance navigating these turbulent and ever changing times.

Judy has been a teacher for more than thirty years, and she offers free weekly yoga classes to the staff and students at her workplace.

After experiencing just one Restorative Yoga class, Judy found her passion! As a result, Judy studied with Dr. Judith Hanson Lasater and became a certified Relax & Renew Trainer® in May 2008. Judy has also studied Kripalu Gentle Yoga with Rudy Peirce and traveled to Costa Rica and Mexico to study Restorative Yoga with Jane Fryer and Anusara Yoga with Amy Ippoliti. In December of 2008, Judy became a certified ChildLight Yoga Instructor™.

Since Judy found yoga in midlife and has a more rounded body than most yoginis, she discovered many ways to use props, modify and adapt postures which she shares in her classes. She continues to study many wisdom traditions and styles of yoga. Judy believes that she is most influenced by the plethora of gifted local instructors with whom she practices several classes each week.
